Now as we gear up to celebrate our Twelfth Year of Reign, we aim to redefine all benchmarks with a gold standard of debate, executive board and hospitality at GLCMUN’20.
Over the years we have had the presence of eminent personalities as chief guests and speakers for the event. Their presence has boosted our endeavours and been a source of inspiration. The 11th Edition, of GLCMUN held in March 2019 and had the privilege of hosting Mr. Salman Haider, former Indian Foreign Secretary and former India’s High Commissioner to London as the Key-note speaker for the Opening Ceremony while Mr AsokGanguly, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, Dr. Anil Khandelwal, Author and former Chairman of Bank of Baroda and Mr. Ashwin Sanghi, an eminent Indian writer graced the Closing Ceremony which was held at the Trident Hotel, Nariman Point. We were also honoured to have the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi write to us congratulating our efforts. Mr. António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations had also written to us on a similar note.
This Edition, our theme for the 12th Model UN Conference is “A Decade of Action to Deliver the Sustainable Developments Goals by 2030”, furthering the mission of the Secretary General of the United Nations who this year too acknowledged our efforts by sending us a message for our 12th Government Law College Model United Nations 2020.
With a truly stellar Executive Board and unmatched hospitality, the 5 conventional committees, 1 unconventional committee and 1 Indian committee along with the International Press that we will simulate, will discuss issues of global relevance and will challenge the delegates to work out strong and amicably agreed resolutions to ensure world peace.
